Visit the Monastery

Approach pathway and surroundings of Sangchen Thongdrol Ling (Ging Gompa) in Ging

Visitors are welcome to Ging Gompa throughout the year. The monastery is approached by road from Darjeeling via Lebong. Visitors are requested to maintain silence within the prayer halls, dress modestly, and seek permission before photographing monks or rituals.

Early mornings and late afternoons tend to offer the most contemplative experience, when the rhythms of prayer and the surrounding landscape are most apparent.
